Revolutionize your appearance with an FUE hair transplant

Rediscover natural hair growth

FUE hair transplantation is a leading method for combating thinning hair. By precisely harvesting follicular units directly from your scalp, we guarantee an even and barely noticeable reduction in the donor area. Our doctors use advanced techniques to extract hair in a random pattern, which preserves the naturalness of your hair appearance.

Gentle and pain-free

Every step of the procedure is performed under local anesthesia. The tiny, circular incisions we make using the state-of-the-art FUE technique allow for quick and comfortable healing. Our patients usually experience minimal discomfort, both during and after the procedure.

SAPHIR-FUE: The gold standard of hair rejuvenation

Precision meets innovation

With the latest development in FUE hair transplantation, the sapphire FUE technique, we are setting new standards. We use microchannels that are opened with high-quality sapphire blades made of synthetic aluminum oxide. This method enables more precise placement of the hair follicles and minimizes the risk of tissue damage.

Faster healing, better results

A major advantage of the sapphire FUE method is the reduced stress on the recipient area, which allows for faster post-operative recovery. Enjoy the impressive results with a significantly reduced healing time.

A hair transplant is not suitable for every person, as various factors play a role. For example, inflammation of the hair roots, the quality or quantity of the donor hair can prevent the procedure from being carried out. People with a very small donor area and a large balding area often do not have enough hair follicles (grafts) to achieve satisfactory results. In such cases, alternative treatment methods are available. Hair transplants are also not suitable for people with certain illnesses, such as HIV infection or He patitis A, B or C. Before the procedure, we carry out tests at the clinic to ensure that there are no risks such as transmissible pathogens. A weakened immune system can increase the risk of inflammation. In addition, blood pressure medication and blood-thinning medication must be discontinued before the procedure.

Yes, women can also undergo a hair transplant. However, the causes of hair loss often differ between the sexes. While hair loss in men is usually genetic, hormonal factors are often responsible in women. The procedure itself is the same for both sexes.

Before a hair transplant, it is particularly important to clarify the cause of hair loss in women by means of a blood count. However, women with very fine hair in the donor area are not suitable for the treatment. If the hair loss is limited to the receding hairline, the Unshaven method can be a discreet solution. This involves shaving a strip about 2 cm wide at the back of the head, which is then covered by the top hair.

A hair transplant can be carried out at any time of year. There are basically no age limits, but the hair loss should be stable. This is often the case with older people. For younger patients whose hair loss is not yet complete, we initially recommend alternative methods such as medication or plasma therapies.

During a hair transplant, healthy hair follicles are removed from the back of the head (donor area) and implanted in bald areas (recipient area). The procedure is therefore a redistribution of hair. After a detailed consultation and analysis by our doctor, both areas are locally anaesthetized. The hair follicles are removed individually using a special micromotor and then precisely inserted.

The cost, duration and number of hair follicles required depend on the size of the area to be treated.

Before and aftercare

We look forward to accompanying you on the way to a new attitude to life. Below we explain the points you should bear in mind before and after the procedure. It is important to follow the instructions given by the specialist staff and to take the right care after the operation in order to achieve the fastest possible recovery.

  • Avoid smoking for 3 weeks before the operation. This will reduce the risk of infection by a factor of 3.
  • You must not take any blood-thinning painkillers such as aspirin, salicylic acid, Ponstan, mefenacid, Brufen, ibuprofen and Voltaren for 10 days before the operation. Permitted painkillers are Dafalgan, Panadol, Paracetamol, Neocitran and Acetalgin.
Please inform us if you need to take blood thinners prescribed by a doctor.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol for 7 days before the operation.
  • Avoid coffee or other caffeinated drinks on the day of the operation.
  • Come to the procedure well fed.
  • On the day of the operation, bring a sweater with a zipper in the front and wear comfortable clothing.
  • Organize someone who can drive you home after the procedure.
  • Take the medication as we have prescribed it for you.
  • Refrain from alcohol consumption and sexual activity for 7 days.
  • Avoid nicotine for at least 2 weeks so as not to delay healing.
  • Swelling may occur in the facial area, but this is no cause for concern.
  • Sleep for 10 days after the operation with your head slightly elevated and only lie on your back.
Avoid swimming, saunas, steam baths, sunbathing, tanning beds and heavy exercise for a month.
  • Avoid wearing a cap, bonnet, motorcycle or bicycle helmet or hat for one month.
  • Start shampooing on the 3rd day:
Apply the lotion to the transplanted area. Use only your fingertips and palms, and avoid using your nails. Leave the lotion on for 30 minutes.
Then rinse off the lotion with a gentle stream of water.
Apply the shampoo to the dispenser area and gently rub it in with your fingers. Use only your fingertips and palms, and avoid using your nails. It is recommended to use the shampoo on both the donor and transplanted areas of your head. For the transplanted area, lather the shampoo in your hands, apply it directly to the area and then gently wash it off.
Wash your hair with lukewarm water and avoid applying strong pressure to the scalp. Hot or cold water can damage the freshly transplanted grafts. Paper towels are suitable for drying and can be used to lightly dab your head. The crusts should gradually loosen during the washing process so that they are no longer present when you check them after 10 days.
  • Wash your hair once a day.
  • 10 days after the start of washing, we will carry out a check-up. Ideally, there should be no crusts left.
  • From the 11th day, the hair can be washed again as usual. The shampoo can still be used, the lotion is no longer necessary.
  • From the 11th day, the non-transplanted hair may be cut with scissors, but no razor may be used.
  • Avoid using hair products such as minoxidil, wax, gel or spray for 60 days after the procedure.
  • For 120 days after the procedure, the hair must not be dyed, blow-dried, shaved or plucked.
  • Months 1-3: 90% of your transplanted hair may now fall out. But don't worry! This is a normal process that occurs in 95% of all hair transplant cases. Some of your natural hairs, which are located next to the transplanted grafts, may also fall out. This phenomenon is called "shock loss" and is also nothing to worry about. It is a temporary process, which means that your hair will grow back stronger over the next 3-6 months. The donor area will gradually recover as your hair grows back.
  • Months 3-4: For hair transplantation after 3 months, even if you do not notice any dramatic changes during this phase, hair growth of approximately 5% of new fine hair will begin.
  • Months 4-5: From now on, 20-25% of the transplanted hairs begin to grow.
  • Months 6-9: Between the sixth and ninth month after your treatment, most of your transplanted hair will begin to grow (75%) and gain strength and density.
  • Months 9-18: After the ninth month, another 20-25% of your hair will grow back. However, in certain cases it can take up to 18 months for all transplanted hair to fully develop.

After a detailed consultation and analysis by our doctor, both areas are locally anaesthetized. The hair follicles are removed individually using a special micromotor and then precisely inserted.

The cost, duration and number of hair follicles required depend on the size of the area to be treated.

The most common methods are FUE, FUT and DHI. The FUT method is considered outdated as it leaves visible scars. With the FUE method, hair follicles are harvested selectively, which is virtually scar-free. The DHI method differs only in the insertion of the grafts, which is carried out using special pins (Choi Pens). In the Esthetic Swiss Clinic we rely exclusively on the FUE method, as it is minimally invasive, modern and efficient. This technique enables gentle procedures with excellent results.

There is no fixed age limit. However, we advise against transplants for people under the age of 25, as hair loss is often not yet complete. In such cases, the progressive loss of natural hair can lead to aesthetic problems, as the transplanted hair remains while the rest falls out. It is therefore important that the hair loss is stable before the transplant.

The costs vary depending on the number of hair follicles (grafts) required. The larger the bald area, the higher the costs. A treatment begins in the Esthetic Swiss Clinic from CHF 4500. The exact price will be determined during a consultation.

A hair transplant is a minimally invasive procedure with low risk. Occasionally, swelling or redness occurs, and rarely inflammation in the treated areas. Another phenomenon is so-called "shock hair loss", in which transplanted hair falls out around two to eight weeks after the treatment. This is a natural process, as the hair enters a resting phase and begins to grow again after around three months.

A hair transplant is an important decision that should be carefully considered. Many patients travel to Turkey because of the lower costs, but are often disappointed with the results or aftercare. In the Esthetic Swiss Clinic we offer fair prices with Swiss quality, state-of-the-art technology and comprehensive on-site support. A personal consultation and compliance with the highest hygiene standards guarantee optimum results.
